Summary: Walburga was one of the few persons to truly fascinate Tom Riddle ; she was older, most experienced, surprising in her power hidden behind discrete manners, distinguished and of most noble blood.
A/N: How thrilling to participate in this fest, and how even more thrilling to take on a rare pair for it... I had never thought of Tom/Walburga, but working on this actually prompted a lot of headcanon ; I like to think that Walburga and Bellatrix were somewhat alike (in their "opinionated, unapologetic" ways, as suggested in the prompt), and that Tom resented Walburga's distance and so later pushed Bellatrix's affections away while keeping her close, just like Walburga did to him (what exactly happened between both Tom/Walburga and TDL/Bellatrix is up to you, I just think the power dynamics are interesting to think about in any case)
